Curing accelerator for powder coatings

Jietonda® SA316 is a special quaternary ammonium compound that can be used as curing accelerator for powder coatings based on Epoxy, Epoxy/Polyester hybrid and Polyester/TGIC to improve curing performance. It may also be used as internal catalyst for carboxyl terminated polyester resin to provide lower cure temperature or shorter baking time.

2. Characteristics
  ● AImpart better catalytic activity and thermal stability when compared the quaternary ammonium salt compounds now widely used.
  ● Unlike the quaternary ammonium salt compounds now widely used, its handling is more easily because this product is free flowing, non-hygroscopic crystalline solid.

3. Use method & levels
  ● When used as curing accelerator, SA316 is premixed together with other components before extrusion. When used as internal catalyst, SA316 is added into the molten polyester resin in reactor before discharging.
  ● The use level is 0.05-0.5% by total weights of formulation.

4. Package & Storage
  ● Package with PE lined fiber drums. Net weight 20kg per drum.
  ● Store in temperature between 2-32℃ or cool dry place to avoid wetting-absorption and caking. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from heat and fire.
  ● Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.
